Friends Of The Month – Art Safari

We have been friends with Mary-Ann (MD) and her team at Art Safari for many years. We absolutely love what they do both for Art and the Environment. Art Safari combines travel, art, adventure and huge amounts of inspiration and fun. They lead Plein Air painting holidays to destinations worldwide.

I asked Mary-Ann what you should expect on one of her famous holidays, “You can expect to be taught to see the world in a different way, taking in detail and vibrant energy as you look. Through your art you will learn about the natural environment.” Mary-Ann added, “You will return with many unique images which will encapsulate your holiday and will inspire your art work at home. In addition you will have had opportunities to see the creativity of your host country and learn about people, the history and their culture.”

Art Safari paint and sketch in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Arctic and even Antarctica. They offer a wide variety of subject matters including but not limited to; architecture, birds, wildlife, zoo visits and colour classes. The team have a wealth of information and experience both painting in the UK and abroad.

Through art you will learn about the natural environment.

A few things you should know:

  • Non painting partners are made welcome, though you can travel alone. There will always be a friendly group!
  • You will be encouraged to take lots of photographs, in fact many people come on Art Safari with photography as the sole aim of their trip.
  • You will be accompanied by the very best trained safari guides and, if necessary when on foot an armed game scout.
  • The groups are small, with a maximum of 8 people.
